Procrastination & Perfectionism
Procrastination is both doing something and not doing something at the same time.
It's a voluntary, yet irrational, delay of an intended action and is a devil on many people's shoulders nudging them towards doing something else instead.

Holding Back The Tears

Why, when we feel emotion, would we need to leak water out of our face? It doesn't seem to be particularly beneficial does it? Today I explore some of the research into it and share some techniques to help us gain some control over our leaky faces. Social Anxiety

Whether it was when we were young or later in life, we've probably all felt anxious in situations that put other people in a position to judge us. It's never too late to learn to override it though. Hope

Research has shown that hope can significantly improve mental health outcomes. It boosts resilience, helps you to cope better with stress and setbacks and means that you're more likely to engage in positive behaviours that support your well-being. But hope isn't something that just happens; it's something you might need to cultivate and it could even save your life. Become a patron of the podca...
Brilliant. Thanks Richard, this really helped. I’m unable to cry at real life though but ball my eyes out at anything on screens!
Thank you, im a veteran trying to cope with my disabilty. Your words connected the dots for me.
@@InstaOmry thanks for watching.
The word hysteria translates to the Greek to mean uterus. It’s a term used to dismiss women’s emotions deeming them nuts basically for feeling menopausal.
Always get headaches and coldsores after crying.
Cheers Richard, happy Friday🎉
Damn, New Fear Unlocked Don't Fuck Up Relationships People.
Thanks Richard for always showing up ❤
I’m surprised I’m not dead already!
Glad you're not!
What a shirt!
I know, right! I put it on and the sun went in though!
nice
Thank you Richard, very based and valuepilled with a dash of goal-maxxing ❤
Hello Bill Burr. Good content💗
🤣 Thank you
I thought you were talking about MPs.
no im not, youre crazy
I see what you did there.
Good
I actually think it's great. It's normal and it makes people interesting. I don't like socializing but if I was in a relationship I would totally love to hear what my partner experienced with friends and I would make sure that he knows that I WANT him to hang out with friends 😊
That’s exactly how it needs to be to keep a relationship healthy.
As someone with NPD I really appreciate you talking about this stuff with so much compassion! It's a disorder that sucks to deal with, it makes interpersonal relationships incredibly difficult :(
This is a great reminder for me ❤
Wise words
This was really good to hear, thank you. I've recently started a new job and found it mostly welcoming but it seems wherever I go there is always someone who has a displeasent, judgemental demeaour toward me. I need to remind myself that this person has not earnt their value to me yet... they are as new to me as I am to them
Agreed, well done.
Thank you for your nice talk. Every one should know this, to take not things personally and... check. Lots of love from Valentina from Holland.❤❤❤
Ok. I did the thing. Gonna go back to scrolling for "just 5 more minutes."
This video gave me the jolt I needed actually
nonsense .. just an excuse
What does this even mean?
Jobs for the entitled .. make up any old 'illness' for laziness then babble nonsense
Yes, finding ways to deal with your shortcomings is just making excuses.
It’s almost like most people can’t afford to wait a year for an extra 10$ when money is money.
yeah but what if you take that £10,00 invest it into something or buy something and flip it for a higher price then you have more then £20 in less then 1 year plus you can spend the money you made on something else and flip it again or invest in it again...
What can you invest 10£ in that nets you a 100% profit?
@@IAmTheRealHim when I was a kid we would turn £3,00 into £8,00 by buying 4 packs of Mars or snickers for £1 then buying 4 packs of powerade for £2 and selling the Mars and snickers for £1 each and selling the powerade for £1 you could make £8,00 from 3 quid and then do the same thing the next day so by investing £3 you could make £10 in 2 days 8+8=16 take away the costs of the items "£3 a day" = £10 profit over 2 days 👍
Thanks for always showing up ❤
Love your energy love your voice love the music you put great content keep going King ❤
Thank you!
What in the world are you on about? It's obvious that if you're unwell, then you're not going to manage to show up
Depressed people still have to pay their bills. There's no reason to assume they'd be worse employees than anyone else.
@@bunnywatchesstuff I'm not denying that. I am just using logic to say that depressed people are not going to be reliable, since they are unwell. Good work must come from good health and good concentration. It's just logical. However, it's important to acknowledge that a good employer should be mindful and kind, to encourage good mental health care
Thank you for stating this so well!
Thank you for this 😁🙏🏽
So true!! And I find that I can go on being optimistic provided everything goes well but as soon as the scales tip I still slip right back to the pessimism & self hatred! I literally need someone to tell me to be kind to myself sometimes 😅 Another awesome short 😊
Thank you for watching.

I love this! In sea of horrible social anxiety videos based on ableist CBT, this is a real gem! Toxic people cause social anxiety. They trigger us into hiding and panic.
Thanks for sharing the smile :)
Benality reminds me of bananas but yea what ifs don't mattah and the past is dead story cism er somth'n
im glad men talk about their mental health
Hello Vaas
Good advice!!
Glad it was helpful!
I don’t know how I ended up seeing this, but I needed it today! I’ve just been given notice from my boss at work so need to find another job. It’s going to be the kick up the ass I needed I think. You speak the truth! Thank you.
Sorry to hear that but glad to be in the right place at the right time for you. Here's to 2024 and any changes it brings!
I don't understand how that worked 🤔 did they not like making money? I would be happier getting paid more. Are you saying have a good attitude then you won't sabotage your goals because you believe its a good goal worth pursuing?
People like making money, of course. But we also resent doing the work and seem to enjoy some types less if we're paid more.
This is me everyday 😂
What a great jumper and a great video !
Ha! Thank you. It's my favourite Christmas jumper. I put it on the the video and then kept it on all day because it was so warm.
Aging lol on the cusp of my birthday this is very fitting 😂
Yours too! Have a lovely birthday week!
Happy Birthday to you both 🧁
ADHD is not a disorder but simply a kind of personality trait that doesn't fit into an industrial society where you are supposed to "sit still and do your job". It is however an advantage in a hunter-gatherer environment so simply seek out a lifestyle that is more natural to our human ancestors and you will be fine. So many "disorders" are only labeled disorder because people don't fit into the status quo.
Lol about ADHD being ‘modern’ 😂
İ used to be people pleaser, help people even though i know most of the time they wouldn't help me back if i'm in need. Being known as good, nice guy is good thing, but i didn't like that a lot, because most people don't really respect people pleasers. Then i changed myself a bit and started to not give a shit about people until they really ask or beg me for help. And it worked, believe me most people got confused and some even said that " you have changed a lot" but i couldn't care less. At the end i started realizing that people in the past used to not care about you, even disrespect you now started being careful while interacting with you. That is important in every aspect, say it work, job, home any places and crowd. Nobody is important than yourself, not friends, not wife, not even family or relatives. If you find yourself surrounded by enemies or controlled, manipulated by crowd, either fight back, keep your ground, introduce your standarts and what things not to be done to you beforehand, make yourself predictable or get the hell out of there fast. Try to find and hang out with people that know your values and respect you at all cost and never hurt them. Remember you was born alone and you gonna die alone. Value yourself
I choose not to matter the only one that matters is my son and that actually makes me happy
People pleasing seems to stem from a lack of self respect from what I’ve seen. If you lack self respect it’s probably because you don’t see anything of value from yourself or what you do. Pretty tough feeling that, you’d tend to make fun of yourself before anyone else has a chance to because it’s easier than sticking up for yourself. If you want to change and improve your life the simplest way is to change your actions. If you feel ugly, go to the gym and buy clothes that make you feel good. If you feel worthless, learn new skills and take yourself out of your comfort zone more. And if it all feels too hard then you know you’re doing the right thing. Nothing good comes easy, the number one rule of life is polarity which means equal and opposite. If you want to have a good life you need to expose yourself to suffering, because if you give yourself an easy life all you will experience is suffering. Taking control of that suffering is what puts you in a good position. Hope this helps someone :)
